Project Update

The project to recycle the plastic drink bottles on campus is well underway.

Besides getting this blog up and rolling, the posters are nearly complete and will be printed and distributed around campus with in the next week or two.

A survey is all set up and ready to send to students and faculty, just waiting on approval before it can be sent. It will help to establish peoples routines and thoughts on recycling.

The collection bins should be ready by Nov. 7th, Darrel Isaacs, the Director of Facilities and Auxiliary Services, is on vacation next week. He will be pivotal to obtaining the bins and their placement.

Our current number of staff, faculty and students at the Piqua campus is approx. 3500. The amount of drinks in plastic bottles sold in a week on campus is approx. 850, with more sold during volleyball and basketball games.

Getting 100% participation would save approx. 42,500 plastic bottles from ending up in landfills in one year!

I hope you all participate.

Hey, I don't know you email. Mind hooking me up with it so we can discuss the plastic bottle movie? School year's ending and I REALLY need something to show for Advanced Image Production.
